Bach Bash: Halloween Style

Is anyone else getting ready to play the ‘Monster Mash’ !? Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays ever since I was a kid! It’s the one day you can be anything or anyone you want to be! Mystique and magic fills the air🖤 So, with spooky season upon us, what better way to celebrate your upcoming nuptials than with your favorite witches!! Today we’re talking all about how to throw a fabulous Halloween themed Bachelorette bash!

Hiring a party planner on the day-of to assemble all the décor before you & your witches arrive is essential. All you have to do is show up & have fun! First things first, discuss your color palette. Once you have your vision, all of your ideas and those elements of design can be executed by your coordinator. When you think of Halloween colors, what comes to your mind first? Do you love the Day Of The Dead vibrancy or your typical Halloween orange, green, black and purple? You can even do a chic monochromatic look or you can play off the subtleties of white with various shades of greys and black.

Which is your favorite?

Day of the Dead Color Scheme

Once you find a color scheme that speaks to your spooky soul it’s now time to pick a signature cocktail! Nothing is cooler than a smoking, sexy beverage as it really sets the tone of your event. Signature cocktails are so popular for weddings so why not have one at your Bachelorette party?! Make a statement!✨ You can also create a deadly bar cart as a refill station! Two drink recipes in particular really stood out to me like this Shimmering Witches Brew and The Grave Digger Cocktail. I don’t know about you but I’m here for the BOO’s 👻! After you have your drink in hand, it’s time to take a look at that weekend itinerary!

Itineraries are great because they provide an outline for you and girls! You can create an itinerary through an invitation company that I personally use and love called Zazzle! Whether you are planning the bash for just one night or extending it to a weekend or long weekend, the itinerary is your map. What you plan all falls down to budget and location. If you are travelling out of state, you may want to add in some local attraction and activities like visiting museums, gardens and some well-known local restaurants! Planning a dinner for the Bride-to-Be is an absolute must! Whether it’s casual or formal it should reflect the bride’s individual style.

Depending on the location you rent for the night or weekend you can plan a dinner out on the town or, if your budget allows, hire a private chef to do catering at an airBNB! Of course, dinner must go along with the theme! A Halloween costume contest can be planned, you can totally “wig” out, hire a private chef to create a custom Halloween styled menu or you can hire actors to have your very own Murder Mystery dinner party like this one done by Girl Inspired!

If you’re looking for a fun excuse to glam up and have a night out on the town with your bride tribe, you can hire hair & make up professionals and/or a photographer before you head out! This way you can capture some of the best memories with your besties before your wedding day. I love this article about a Witchy Bachelorette Photo Shoot . Who doesn’t love getting glammed out?! You can even look for make-up artists that do incredible face paint for your costume party! Treating your Bridesmaids to a simple hair/make up styling package is a sweet way to say “Thank You” for all of their hard work throughout the wedding planning process and it really shows your appreciation. It’s a great way to say thank you in a non-traditional way!

But if you’d really love to give your girls a goodie bag, it’s great to have them ready upon your Bachelorette Party arrival! To keep within theme you can have several goodies customized for all your Bridesmaid gift sets! Below are a few images for inspiration. You can find great items on Etsy OR you can support one of your favorite local artists to create a custom item. Stargazed Event Services works with the best local vendors and also makes incredible items in house as well! Once you pick out your gifts for your Bridesmaids, your planner can set them up on the day of your arrival in a beautiful display in your hotel or rental home!

Another additional touch you may want to consider for decoration is a selfie / photo station with a balloon garland or stunning backdrop because lets be real… we all love a good instagrammable moment! One last idea for the Bride, would be to get a matted frame and have each bridesmaid wear either black or purple lipstick and the bride wear pink or red lipstick and create a “Kiss the Miss Goodbye” picture frame to have a memory that lasts forever! Your Halloween Bach Bash will definitely be one for the books! Cheers Witches!!

I hope you enjoyed this first post on a new mini series I will be writing called Bach Bash! This was all about Halloween theme but I also plan to write out ideal iteniraries for Bachelorette locations across the U.S. Thanks as always for following along and I hope you found some great inspiration while you were here!
